Chua Soi Lek: DAP Exploiting Various Issues To Gain Support

This short news story is about the statements made by the president of MCA, Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek on the matter of opposition’s unfair political strategies of acquiring support. He thinks that opposition not only severely criticizes but also exploits various issues in a very negative manner. He gave the example of the issue of funding Chinese schools, on which opposition specially likes to attack. He said that opposition claims that they have no power in the matter that is why we could not do much about it and if we have taken some actions then the opposition would have claimed that we are influenced, so matter what we do opposition would present us in a bad shape.

Chua Soi Lek also rejected the blames of opposition that his government is doing nothing on the matter telling the reporters that his government and public both have donated funds for the Chinese schools and they are doing everything they can on the issue. He referred to a project about to start about building a school with 40 classrooms, accommodating up to 500 students, for which funds of RM3mil have been allocated. He also highlighted that about 90% board members of Chinese schools are from MCA. Moreover he said that this issue needs cooperation of everyone.
